Tantra massage at Redmassage follows Taoist principles: the aim is to enjoy the whole session rather than rush toward a climax. For most first-timers the unfamiliar part is the pace, so this walkthrough describes each phase of the session in order.
A session lasts 75 minutes and can be booked with one or two masseuses. Women can book a yoni massage with an experienced masseur, and couples can have a tantric session together.
Your masseuse starts by talking with you for a few minutes about how you feel, whether this is your first tantra massage, what you would like and where your limits are. Then you take a warm shower while the room is prepared with dimmed light, quiet music and warm oil.
Once you lie down, your masseuse rests her hands on your back or chest and asks you to breathe slowly and deeply with her. Slower breathing calms you down, and most people notice touch much more clearly afterwards.
The massage begins away from the intimate areas, on the back, shoulders, arms and legs. The strokes are long and slow, and the masseuse links one part of the body to the next with continuous movement. You are not expected to do anything except stay present.
Later in the session the touch moves to the intimate areas: a lingam massage for men, a yoni massage for women. Arousal is built in waves, allowed to rise and then settle again, so the sensation spreads through the whole body instead of staying in one place.
Whether the session ends in a climax depends on you and your body. In tantra it isn’t the measure of a good session, and your masseuse follows your reactions rather than a fixed script.
A tantra session doesn’t end abruptly. You get a few minutes to lie still and come back slowly, then take a final shower before you leave.
